Training and Technical Assistance

The OVC VOCA Center provides no cost training and technical assistance to Victim Compensation and Assistance Administrators and their staff on federal grant management and administration through expert consultation, peer-to-peer collaboration, problem-solving, training, and innovation.

Training and Technical Assistance Opportunities

  • Customized Technical Assistance
    • One-on-one assistance provided by current and former Victim Assistance and Compensation Administrators and subject matter experts.
  • Learning Communities
    • Multi-day small group sessions with subject matter experts designed to share best practices and address issues among Victim Assistance or Compensation Administrators.
  • Administrator Roundtables
    • Monthly virtual meetings for Victim Assistance and Compensation Administrators to connect with peers and receive support and guidance from colleagues.
  • New Administrator Cohorts
    • Designed for Administrators new to the field or who have been on the job less than 3 years. Training will introduce new Administrators to VOCA and include one-on-one technical assistance, as needed.
  • Annual Summit for Victim Assistance and Compensation Administrators
    • Fall or Spring meetings for Victim Assistance and Compensation Administrators to learn and engage with OVC on trends and best practices in the field.
