TechSoup.org offers nonprofits a one-stop resource for their technology needs by providing free information, resources, and support. In addition to online information and resources, they offer a product philanthropy service called TechSoup Stock. Here, nonprofits can access donated and discounted technology products, generously provided by corporate and nonprofit technology partners.

Social Security Administration

The Social Security Administration website offers survivor, disability, and benefit-related information. The site features online services and much of its information in multiple languages.

U.S. Department of Justice: Victim Notification System (VNS)

This free, automated system provides important information to victims of crime in federal cases. In many cases, victims will receive letters/emails generated through VNS containing information about the events pertaining to their case or any defendants in the case.

National Mental Health Consumers' Self-Help Clearinghouse

This clearinghouse offers information about self-help support groups and regional self-help clearinghouses. They also provide self-help links, training and consultation, public outreach, and related publications and policy papers.

AARP: Scams & Fraud

AARP provides information about ways to protect yourself against scams and fraud.

Helping And Lending Outreach Support (HALOS)

HALOS's mission is to provide resources and special opportunities to abused and neglected children and their caregivers through partnerships with faith-based and other community organizations. OVC produced a HALOS toolkit, which offers lessons learned and suggests strategies for establishing programs like HALOS wherever foster families and relatives need additional support for the children in their care.

Grants.gov

Grants.gov is your source to find and apply for federal grants. Today, Grants.gov is a central storehouse for information on over 1,000 grant programs and provides access to approximately $500 billion in annual awards.

Dougy Center for Grieving Children and Families

The Dougy Center for Grieving Children and Families provides support and training locally, nationally, and internationally to individuals and organizations seeking to assist children in grief.

Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund

The Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund provides litigation, legal advocacy, and community education on behalf of victims of anti-Asian violence and services for women and youth survivors of human trafficking.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

The ADA site provides access to ADA regulations and technical assistance materials, including information about U.S. Department of Justice ADA settlement agreements and enforcement activities. ADA.gov centralizes key ADA information and links to Federal resources, including ADA Standards for Accessible Design, updates on new ADA requirements, and the ADA Information Line: 800-514-0301 (voice) or 833-610-1264 (TTY).

U.S. Department of State: Services for Victims

The U.S. Department of State assists U.S. citizens who become victims of crime while abroad.

  • Overseas: consular officers, agents, and staff work with crime victims and help them with the local police and medical systems.
  • Domestically: the office of Overseas Citizens Services will stay in touch with family members in the U.S. and help provide U.S.-based resources for the victim when possible.

Childstats.gov

This website offers easy access to statistics and reports on children and families, including family and social environment, economic circumstances, health care, physical environment and safety, behavior, education and health. The Federal Interagency Forum on Child and Family Statistics fosters coordination, collaboration, and integration of federal efforts to collect and report data on conditions and trends for children and families.

Department of Defense: Family Advocacy Program

The Family Advocacy Program serves as a resource for military families experiencing family violence by promoting healthy family relationships; encouraging early identification and prompt reporting; promoting victim safety and empowerment; and providing appropriate support to service members, their partners, and their family members

Center for Restorative Justice and Peacemaking

The Center for Restorative Justice and Peacemaking is committed to the development of community-based responses to crime and violence that strengthen social harmony and individual healing through dialogue, repair of harm, and peace-building by providing technical assistance, training, and research in support of restorative dialogue practices.
