In July 2024, the National Mass Violence Center, and National Center for Victims of Crime, with support from the Office for Victims of Crime, hosted the National Summit on Mass Violence Victims and Survivors. The Summit featured intensive working sessions of the NMVC’s Partner Leadership Council, comprised of 20 national partners, to help create a “national landscape” for mass violence preparedness, response, recovery, and resilience. The findings from this convening will be presented at this National Town Hall.

At the conclusion of the National Town Hall, participants will be able to—

  • Describe gaps in programs and services for MVI victims, survivors, first responders, and impacted communities that can be filled by proactive partnerships at the national, federal, Tribal, state, and local levels.
  • Identify key takeaways to improve victim/survivor and community access to collaborative, quality behavioral and mental health services, other supports, and programs.
  • Describe the wide scope of resources available from the 20 national organizations represented on the NMVC’s Partner Leadership Council.
  • Identify the latest resources from the National Mass Violence Center.
