Join the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and the Santa Clara County, California, District Attorney’s Office from March 19–21, 2024 for a free, 2-and-a-half-day Effective Strategies to Investigate and Prosecute Labor Trafficking in the United States training. Space is limited. Please register by March 5. This course for police and prosecutors will focus on teaching the implementation of trauma-informed practices to support victims and conduct effective interviews. 

At the end of this course, training attendees will better be able to: 

  • identify labor trafficking and the modes, means, and methods with which offenders recruit and control victims;
  • investigate labor trafficking and proactively combat organized networks and individual exploiters; and 
  • hold offenders accountable by employing offender-focused strategies and leveraging multiple avenues to justice.

Tuesday and Wednesday are full days; Thursday is a half day. The cost of the training is funded by the IACP’s Collaborative Reform Initiative Technical Assistance Center (CRI-TAC) program through the COPS Office. Costs related to travel are the responsibility of attendees.
