National Crime Victims' Rights Week Community Awareness Event

Westmoreland County Victim Witness will be hosting a Community Awareness Event at the firehouse in Montross. The event is to raise awareness for victims' rights. The theme for National Crime Victims' Rights Week this year is: Survivor Voices: Elevate. Engage. Effect Change.

There will be artwork on display created by local high school students, resource information, survivor guest speakers, reading of a proclamation signed by the Town Mayor, and food (hot dogs, chips, water, sodas). The Westmoreland County Victim Witness program hopes this event will help create environments where survivors have the confidence that they will be heard, believed, and supported.
