Join the National Mass Violence Victimization Resource Center for a timely discussion on victim-centric mass violence incident response. Participants will be able to—
- understand the role, resources, and limitations of the FBI and other government agencies in response to mass violence incidents;
- describe how to create an Initial Response and a Family Assistance Center;
- identify effective strategies to assess and address the needs of MVI victims and survivors; and strategies to assess and strengthen a community’s capacity to meet survivors’ needs, as well as the needs of community members; and
- describe components of an early intervention approach: Psychological First Aid.
