'Transformación' Art Exhibition: Raising Awareness of Victims' Rights and Sexual Assault

Mark your calendars and join CLUES for a family-friendly celebration and the opening of the new art exhibition at the CLUES Art Gallery in Saint Paul: 'Transformación', on view from April 26th to May 31st, 2024. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). National Crime Victims' Rights Week 2024 runs from April 21-27, 2024. During this week, the CLUES Family Services department is conducting a campaign to raise awareness about Sexual Assault in the Latine community. 

Join us on Friday, April 26th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. to learn more and raise awareness about Victims' Rights and Sexual Assault. Come support and learn about the Family Services programs at CLUES. The Latine artist, Lynda Grafito, created two large interactive pieces, where the public is invited to participate by leaving their messages on them. In addition, other pieces created by the artist, in collaboration with other community members and CLUES staff during special workshops, will be exhibited during this exhibition. 

COLLABORATING ARTIST: Lynda Grafito A Visual Artist based in Minnesota and born in Colombia. Her linocut work is inspired by the beauty and diversity of nature, representing scenes of animals and plants from Latin America and Minnesota, from which she finds sociocultural relationships that allow her to talk about migration and environmental issues. 

EVENTS: Opening Reception. Friday, April 26th, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.: A family-friendly evening and conversation with the artist Lynda Grafito, free food and beverages. Free and open to all ages!
