The theme for National Crime Victims' Rights Week 2024 is How would you help? Options, services, and hope for crime survivors. To honor this important theme, the Vermont Center for Crime Victim Services with the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Vermont will be holding an in-person advocacy workshop. This workshop will be led by Dr. Christine DiBlasio, Vermont’s USA TODAY’s Woman of the Year. Dr. DiBlasio is cofounder of the The Safety Team, which provides trainings and educational programs for survivors of violence and sexual assault.

Schedule:
  • 9:30-10:00 a.m.: Check-in and Welcome
  • 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: Workshop with Dr. Christine DiBlasio: "Fostering Resilience through Empowered Healing"
  • 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.: Lunch
  • 1:00 - 1:30 p.m.: Keynote by Dr. Christine DiBlasio: "Swimming Upstream: Honoring the Power of Hope and Persistence"
  • 1:30 - 4:00 p.m.: Vermont Crime Victim Service Awards Ceremony
