Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2021, $600,000)

Ruby’s Place will provide short-term housing assistance and services for victims of human trafficking who reside, learn, work or worship in Alameda County, California and nearby counties, or who have been trafficked in the service area. Primary activities include: the provision of short-term rental subsidies for 45 victims of human trafficking living in units owned by third-party landlords; collaboration and training for local partners to ensure that trafficking victims are identified and referred for housing services with 12 events; trauma-informed case management for 45 victims of human trafficking; referrals to screened community resources for specialized services for at least 25 victims; and data collection and participation in evaluation activities, including counting the program deliverable of service hours.
