Based in New York City, Restore NYC, Inc. ("Restore") promotes empowerment-based initiatives and cross-sector collaboration to promote impact-driven solutions. The goal of the proposed project is to develop, expand, and strengthen trauma-informed economic empowerment services available to assist all victims of human trafficking to achieve their goals, which may include increased autonomy, safety, independence, self-sufficiency, and wellbeing. Objectives include: (1) provide economic-empowerment services using person-centered, survivor-informed and -led, trauma informed, and culturally sensitive service delivery for all victims of trafficking to meet individualized needs; (2) Collaborate with and train law enforcement, criminal-justice professionals, legal advocates, NGOs, and faith-based organizations to ensure trafficking victims are identified and referred for appropriate services, including economic empowerment: (3) provide assistance and/or referrals to other essential services for victims of trafficking; and (4) conduct data collection and participation in evaluation activities to determine if the program is meeting stated goals and objectives. Funding will ensure ongoing development, expansion, and strengthening of Restore’s impact through growth in direct service provision and resource coordination for all victims of trafficking, as well as through trainings and technical assistance in New York City.
