Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2021, $750,000)

The Kent County Human Trafficking Task Force seeks to build the local infrastructure for human trafficking identification and response in Kent County, Michigan. As a Category 1 grantee, the task force will formalize it's operations with the Kent County Sheriff’s Office as the lead law enforcement agency. KCSO will work with community victim service members to ensure victim care and proactive prosecution of traffickers. Core members of the Task Force also include the FBI, HSI, USAO, and the Kent County Prosecutor’s Office.
