Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2022, $800,000)

The Reformed Church of Highland Park Affordable Housing Corporation (RCHP-AHC) will serve victims of human trafficking from difficult to serve, low-income populations – including refugees, asylum seekers - in the state of New Jersey. Through its trafficking victims assistance program, Still Waters Anti-Trafficking Program, RCHP-AHC will provide Rapid Rehousing and comprehensive support services to 50 victims of trafficking. Supportive services will include: access to basic needs such as food, clothing, and household goods; ESL assessment, tutoring, and classes; access to linguistically and culturally competent mental health services; case management services; employment services, educational opportunities, and job training; connection with legal services for pursuit of immigration relief and preparation to apply for legal status; assistance with transportation and childcare; health needs including medical, dental, vision, and mental health care; and obtaining identification documents.
