Expanding Community-Wide Domestic Violence Primary Prevention Education

The Maria Pew Family Foundation DBA Maria's Voice proposes to implement Expanding Community-Wide Domestic Violence Primary Prevention Education. The purpose is to utilize Primary Prevention Education to prevent domestic violence before it occurs through community engagement, raising awareness of the crisis, and educating on the dynamics of abusive behavior in the 3rd Congressional District. Project activities include expanding Maria’s Voice Prevention Network in three ways that are evidence-based and/or promising practices: increase the number of communities who have access to primary prevention; provide scholarship funds to cities and school districts to eliminate the cost burden that can inhibit a city’s participation in prevention education for its employees; and, add two new educational program offerings: Rocky Speaks and Primary Prevention Social Media Package.
