Building a EMDT to serve older victims of abuse and financial exploitation

This project will support the Fulton County District Attorney to hire a dedicated E-MDT Coordinator, develop an enhanced multidisciplinary team to meet the goal to better identify and respond to older adults who experience abuse, and enhance communication to inform victims of their rights. The E-MDT will reduce the risk of future abuse, recover stolen assets, and pursue criminal prosecution in appropriate cases. The team of experts will also review cases, identify barriers faced by victims; and share knowledge about problems faced by victims. Activities will include quarterly meetings, elder-abuse prevention presentations, and development of public service announcements.
