Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2023, $950,000)

ARC Community Services, Inc. will implement the Project Respect Anti-Human Trafficking: Comprehensive Care program to respond to the substance abuse, mental health, and case management needs of historically underserved and marginalized African American and Latino adult and juvenile sex and labor trafficking victims in Dane County, WI and adjoining counties of Iowa, Columbia, Sauk, Green, Rock & Jefferson. Primary activities include: intake and assessment for substance use disorder, treatment planning, counseling; assessment for other service needs and provision of case management and referral; providing ongoing emotional and motivational support, outreach, and engagement; and, Spanish language provision of assessment for behavioral health needs and treatment planning; individualized mental health trauma therapy; identification of other service needs and provide service facilitation/case management, referrals and coordination of care. Other activities to improve capacity to identify and respond to victims’ service needs include training to other service providers, criminal justice professionals, faith- and civil- group in service area; and provide quarterly and technical assistance meetings with regional group of partners including agencies providing services to target population and survivors.
