Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2023, $440,000)

Community Against Sexual Harm (CASH) will implement a Comprehensive Services for Survivors Program with OVC FY 2023 Services for Victims of Human Trafficking funding. The purpose of this project is to develop the capacity of CASH to provide evidence-based programming to survivors of sex and labor trafficking in the Sacramento region through accessible services and community collaboration.  Project activities include creating operating standards and protocols for evidence-based services using a survivor led model, formalizing partnerships, organizing a community of practice to improve the region’s ability to identify survivors, and developing a crisis response program that meets the needs of all survivors and community partners.  Expected outcomes include a responsive and sustainable survivor led anti-human trafficking organization in the Sacramento Region, a crisis response system that meets local needs, and improved access to immediate physical and mental health care capable of addressing trauma.  Survivors of human trafficking in the Sacramento Region are the intended beneficiaries of the project.
