Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $950,000)

The International Rescue Committee in Tallahassee (IRC) will provide enhanced comprehensive case-management and other services to domestic and foreign born, female and male victims of human trafficking, including sex and labor trafficking, in Florida’s 10-county Big Bend region of Franklin, Liberty, Gadsden, Wakulla, Leon, Jefferson, Bay, Calhoun, Gulf and Taylor. The IRC will work to ensure that victims of human trafficking receive enhanced client-centered, trauma-informed services and will provide education and training opportunities to community stakeholders regarding human trafficking in this historically underserved region. During the grant period, IRC will (1) provide comprehensive services to victims of human trafficking; (2) refer to and/or coordinate legal assistance for foreign-born victims eligible for T-Visas or other forms of immigration; (3) complete final assessments and individualized action plans for clients exiting the program; (4) establish new agency partnerships each year; (5) further develop and document comprehensive response protocols for the identification and referral of survivors; (6) conduct  trainings and increase technical knowledge on identifying and serving survivors; (7) provide technical assistance to individuals in the referral network and/or at partner agencies; (8) conduct data collection, outcomes tracking, and internal data analysis to assess and validate program effectiveness and quality, and conduct client exit surveys to track client satisfaction and programmatic input; and (9) engage survivor consultants to provide program feedback.
