The Los Angeles (LA) County Sheriff's Department and Saving Innocence will co-lead the enhancement of their ECM task force, in partnership with the US Attorney’s Office (USAO) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). The Los Angeles Regional Human Trafficking Task Force (LARHTTF) expanded its labor trafficking collaboration with representatives from the Department of Labor, County DA’s offices, Department of Public Health, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Labor Commissioner’s Office, and LA Code Enforcement.

Since its founding, the LARHTTF: 1) increased identification of victims of all forms of human trafficking; 2) provided effective investigation and prosecution of labor trafficking and sex trafficking cases in LA County; and 3) addressed individualized needs of trafficking victims through the provision of comprehensive services.
