Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $200,000)

The purpose of this grant program is to provide culturally responsive services to crime victims and survivors from communities that have been historically underserved; marginalized; adversely affected by inequality; and disproportionately impacted by crime, violence, and victimization. With this funding, ABLE SOUTH CAROLINA will assist survivors with disabilities in addressing their basic financial needs and accessing services after experiencing abuse, ensuring they receive the necessary support to regain stability and rebuild their lives. During the project period, survivors with disabilities will have access to tailored victim services, transitional housing, and essential financial support. They will receive specialized assistance and education customized to their individual needs.
