Project Reach, a project of the Justice Resource Institute, is a highly trained team of multidisciplinary trauma specialists who provide episodic, rapid-response services to trafficking victims. OVC funding will enable Project Reach to provide mobile mental health services, including crisis intervention, assessment, and treatment, to trafficking victims identified anywhere in the Eastern Seaboard states or the state of Texas. In addition, Project Reach will provide mental health related training and technical assistance to local victim service providers working with victims of trafficking, thereby building local capacity.
The purpose of this award, one of several projects under the Services for Trafficking Victims Discretionary Grant Program, is to allow The Trauma Center at Justice Resource Institute to expand victim service programs for persons who have been identified by federal law enforcement as victims of a severe form of trafficking during the pre-certification period.
