Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2005, $350,000)
This project will establish a family violence center to house a hospital/medical-based, culturally sensitive program for the purpose of providing specialized treatment to victims of child abuse, domestic abuse, rape, and sexual assualt. The center will encompass a victim-focused, community oriented program in which representatives from many disciplines will meet to discuss and make decisions about treatment, investigation, and prosecution of cases involving child abuse, domestic violence, and rape.
