The purpose of this grant program is to provide the training and technical assistance required for tribes to develop a multidisciplinary approach to investigating, prosecuting, treating, and advocating for victims of child abuse and child sexual abuse. The training will focus on strategies that minimize the trauma suffered by child victims and maximize the opportunity to provide assistance and services needed to support the child's recovery. Coordination of all entities at the tribal, federal, and state levels involved in child abuse cases will be addressed, as well as promising approaches for accomplishing systemic change.
