The Office for Victims of Crime is providing grant funding to support the implementation of a project that will provide specialized training and outreach materials to help victim service professionals recognize, reach, and better serve victimized teens. The National Center for Victims of Crime will develop a series of monthly web-based trainings to help victim assistance providers and other allied professionals provide accurate, culturally competent, and developmentally appropriate responses to teen victims and their families. The grantee will also produce teen victim outreach materials to address the prevalance and impact of crimes affecting teens, the importance of telling a trusted adult when a crime occurs, and where to seek help.
