Recognizing and Responding to the Vulnerabilty Trail for People with Developmental Disabilities

Through this FY 07 Action Partnerships Cooperative Agreement, Arc of Aurora, with collaborative support of The Arc of the United States, will conduct training at conventions in 8-12 state chapters of The Arc to provide information on 1) the incidence, prevalence and impact of crime victimization--including child abuse, stalking, domestic violence, and dating violence--on people with developmental disabilities, and 2) collaborating with victim assistance organizations. The project will include follow-up support for attendees that will help them use what they learn and will allow Arc of Aurora to measure and evaluate the trainees' outreach success.
