Outreach for Underserved Victims

The purpose of the OVC FY 09 Public Awareness and Outreach to Victims in Underserved Communities is to raise awareness of traditionally underserved populations about victims' rights as well as improve their knowledge about accessing local services available to crime victims. The Vermont Center for Crime Victim Services (The Center) will develop culturally and linguistically accessible materials in eight languages which will be distributed to immigrants through community centers, houses of worship, markets and other local venues, including printed materials in accessible formats, public service announcements, we-based videos, and articles in local foreign-language media. ca/ncf
