African Crime Victims Awareness Project

The purpose of the OVC FY 09 Public Awareness and Outreach to Victims in Underserved Communities is to raise awareness of traditionally underserved populations about victims' rights as well as improve their knowledge about accessing local services available to crime victims. The Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO) will initiate a campaign entitled African Crime Victims Awareness Project that will deliver a culturally and linguistically appropriate public awareness campaign target at isolated and underserved African immigrant and refugee victims of domestic violence living in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area. ca/ncf
