Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2009, $300,000)
The purpose of this award, one of several projects under the Services for Victims of Human Trafficking Grant Program, is to allow Santa Clara University, in coordination with the South Bay Coalition to End Human Trafficking, to provide timely, high-quality comprehensive services to pre-certified victims of severe forms of human trafficking and enhance interagency collaboration and coordination in the provision of services to such victims. Santa Clara University, in coordination with the South Bay Coalition to End Human Trafficking, will provide comprehensive services to victims of sex and labor trafficking in the counties of Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Benito, and Monterey, California; build effective community service networks to respond to victims' needs; and provide training to increase awareness among criminal justice entities, social service providers, and the public of the rights and needs of trafficking victims over a two year period. nc/ncf
