Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2014, $344,562)
The Vision 21: Using Technology to Expand National and International Access to Victim Services initiative supports projects using technology to interact directly with crime victims, providing support for improved assistance to victims, including information, referrals and online and hotline services.
Through this project the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN) will expand current services by providing culturally appropriate crisis assistance and referral services in Spanish through the National Sexual Assault Online Hotline, developing a referral database of culturally and linguistically appropriate referrals for in-person long-term support, and utilizing HelpRoom, an online peer support platform for ongoing services.
