The Vison 21 Multidisciplinary Response to Families and Communities in Complex Homicide Cases Program will: 1) identify and document promising victim-centered and trauma-informed multidisciplinary responses and evidence-based practices that are effective in responding to families on complex homicide cases; and 2) disseminate resources and lessons learned from this project to the victim services field and allied professionals. The National Center for Victims of Crime will provide diverse subject matter expertise and innovative technical assistance to several demonstration sites funded by OVC through this initiative. The grantee will also coordinate in-person grantee meetings, facilitate individualized consultation to address local program implementation issues, and develop a compendium of resources, suitable for on-line publication, that would be helpful in replicating promising practices identified through this initiative.
