Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2017, $849,980)
The FY 2017 Specialized Human Trafficking Training and Technical Assistance for Service Providers Program is designed
to support the provision of intensive training and technical assistance (TTA) to trafficking service providers in one of two focus areas "housing and employment" in order to assist them in developing and implementing meaningful housing and/or employment practices. Service providers and trafficking survivors have identified these two areas as fundamental to the stabilization and long-term independence of trafficking survivors. With this award, Freedom Network USA will implement a national scope TTA initiative to provide training and support to service providers throughout the United States, including the territories and tribal lands. Specifically, Freedom Network USA will work to improve the quality and quantity of housing services for trafficking survivors by increasing the capacity of victim service providers nationwide through TTA and to improve victim service providers' partnerships at the national, state, and local level with relevant stakeholders.
