Funding under this program will support direct victim assistance service grants to state, tribal, and local law enforcement agencies in small, mid-sized, and large jurisdictions to hire staff to develop new or enhance existing law enforcement-based victim service programs.

With this award, the Cleveland Division of Police will establish a new direct victim assistance program that will better coordinate partnerships with community-based programs to better serve the needs of all crime victims through the hiring of hire two full-time Victim Service Navigators. The two Victim Navigators will be housed at Police Headquarters, under the oversight of Field Operations (which includes Community Policing and the Neighborhood Police Districts).
