The Comprehensive Tribal Victim Assistance (CTVA) Program supports American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities to develop, enhance, and sustain a comprehensive victim assistance program that (1) provides a coordinated collaborative multidisciplinary response to victims of crime, their families, and the community and (2) provides trauma-informed, culturally competent holistic services to all identifiable victims of crime, their families, and the community.CA/NCF

Squaxin Island Tribe requested funding to sustain and enhance a comprehensive vulnerable adult victim assistance program that provides a coordinated, collaborative, multidisciplinary response and trauma-informed, culturally competent, holistic services to victims of crime, their families, and the community. The proposed enhancements include expanding case management and follow up; connection and referral to mental health counseling; financial assistance related to crime victimization recovery; connections to needed healthcare, transportation, and other assistance; providing personal items related to crime or exploitation; connection to available Tribal and State services, medical insurance assistance, and referrals to services based on other collaborative partnerships.
