Enhancing Access to Services: Training and Technical Assistance

Funding through this cooperative agreement will allow the Asian Pacific Institute on Gender-Based Violence (The Institute) to work with the 20 grantees funded under OVC's Fiscal Year(FY) 2018 and FY 2019 Enhancing Language and Other Access to Service Program. The Institute will work with the grantee sites to address a range of victim needs by conducting needs assessments, providing assistance on language access planning, delivering training through webinars and in-person events, and facilitating problem-solving information exchanges to identify promising practices. The Institute also will develop a number of tools and resources for the field, including a web-based resource hub on serving victims of crime who are Deaf, hard-of hearing, LEP, and blind and/or visually impaired. The project will impact OVC grantees located throughout the United States over a 3-year project period. NCA/NCF
