Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2019, $499,998)

Under the FY 2018 Integrated Services for Minor Victims of Trafficking program, all grantees are required to serve all minor victims (boys and girls under age 18) of all forms of human trafficking (sex and labor). The grantee will work with OVC Program Managers and Training and Technical Assistance Providers to ensure all victims are served. The Central Valley Against Human Trafficking (CVAHT) project will address an increased need for the coordination of services for minor victims of all forms of human trafficking. The goals of the project are to: 1) Develop policies and procedures promoting developmentally and linguistically appropriate services for minor victims of human trafficking, 2) Identify minor victims of sex and labor trafficking and provide comprehensive services including but not limited to referral plans, 3) Provide comprehensive “wraparound services” to all minor victims of human trafficking, and 4) Provide case management to all minor victims of human trafficking. The project will achieve these goals by providing trauma-informed child-specific direct services, and collaborating with partner organizations to meet the comprehensive needs of trafficking victims. The project will include subgrants with Family Healing Center and Breaking the Chains, respectively, to provide child-centered mental health treatment and trauma treatment services. CA/NCF
