Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2019, $900,000)
The goal of the FY 2019 Direct Services to Support Victims of Human Trafficking Program is to enhance the quality and quantity of services available to victims of human trafficking, as defined by the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) of 2000, as amended. Funding through this program supports direct services to victims of sex trafficking and labor trafficking, as well as for efforts to increase the capacity of communities to respond to human trafficking through the development of interagency partnerships, professional training, and public awareness activities over a three-year project period. The Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, through its Division of Victim Services (PBCVS), in conjunction the Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office (PBSO), Catholic Charities Diocese of Palm Beach (CCDPB) and Barry University will build upon existing community resources to support a comprehensive response addressing the unmet and complex needs of human trafficking victims in Palm Beach County, Florida. These project partners agree to work collaboratively to support the efforts of the Palm Beach County Human Trafficking Task Force. CA/NCF
