Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2020, $1,000,000)

The purpose of this award, funded under the Improving Outcomes for Child and Youth Victims of Human Trafficking Program, is to improve outcomes for children and youth who are victims of human trafficking by integrating human trafficking policy and programming at the state or tribal level and enhancing coordinated, multidisciplinary, and statewide approaches to serving trafficked youth.

The project will focus efforts statewide, engaging with partner organizations, screening high-risk children and youth, training child-serving professionals, and providing trauma-informed services to victims. Staff will participate in local coalition and task force meetings, collaborating with community partners to provide technical assistance, and information on accessing victim services to provide high-level standards of care in serving child and youth victims of human trafficking.
