The purpose of this program is to develop, expand, or strengthen victim service programs for victims of human trafficking, to include enhancing the capacity of law enforcement and other stakeholders to identify victims and provide justice for those victims through the investigation and prosecution of their traffickers. This award made to The Salvation Army is funded under FY 2020 Enhanced Collaborative Model Task Force to support dedicated staff from the Hamilton County Sheriffs Office to coordinate the Southwest Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force and ensure that there is consistent priority given to human trafficking investigations in this region. This funding will also support funding and capacity on both the service provider and law enforcement side to develop formalized procedures and protocols for investigations in the community and train more officers and relevant professionals to increase victim identifications and prosecutions. The focus of the task force will be to identify person/s who are being trafficked and/or being forced into a life of servitude. CA/NCF.
