The purpose of this program is to develop, expand, or strengthen victim service programs for victims of human trafficking, to include enhancing the capacity of law enforcement and other stakeholders to identify victims and provide justice for those victims through the investigation and prosecution of their traffickers. This award made to Tarrant County is funded under FY 2020 Enhanced Collaborative Model Task Force to Combat Human Trafficking Force will be a newly formed human trafficking task force focused on developing collaborative working relationships among local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, victim service providers, and a variety of other agencies and community partners in Tarrant County to address the issue of human trafficking. The Task Forces mission and goals are to: 1) identify victims of all types of human trafficking within Tarrant County and surrounding areas, 2) develop an effective and sustainable multidisciplinary task force that investigates and prosecutes sex and labor trafficking cases, with an additional focus on demand reducing effort 3) implement victim-centered and coordinated approaches to address the individualized needs of identified victims through a comprehensive array of services.
