The purpose of this program is to develop, expand, or strengthen victim service programs for victims of human trafficking, to include enhancing the capacity of law enforcement and other stakeholders to identify victims and provide justice for those victims through the investigation and prosecution of their traffickers. This award made to BCFS Health and Human Services is funded under FY 2020 Enhanced Collaborative Model Task Force to Combat Human Trafficking which is designed to supoort The South Texas Officers and Prosecutors (STOP) Task Force to continue its countertrafficking task force operations in the 12-county greater San Antonio, Texas region. The STOP Task Force has 4 goals: 1) increase the communitys identification of survivors of all forms of trafficking; 2) enhance all area partners capacity to serve survivors; 3) develop and execute task force protocols; and 4) increase arrests and prosecutions.
