This toolkit shares strategies and resources for cultivating collaborative partnerships between state Chapters of Children's Advocacy Centers (CACs), state Victim of Crime Act (VOCA) Administrators, and other state-based child victim service providers, so as to better serve children and youth crime victims.

Abstract

The toolkit includes a White Paper that examines relationships among those who serve within the field of children and youth victim services. It emphasizes that improvements in professional collaboration at every level often results in improved outcomes for victims. It provides a model for building and sustaining such collaborative partnerships between state-level drivers of child and youth victim services. The toolkit also provides a step-by-step guide for building and sustaining collaborations by providing timelines, agendas, and facilitated modules. It shares insights and reflections from pilot projects and offers tips for facilitators to assist in ensuring a successful collaboration. Online access is provided for training requests and general inquiries.
