The resource guide contains a wide range of practical, adaptable information to support and augment your outreach efforts, including extensive how-to and sample resources to help you build a successful public awareness campaign. 

Professional artwork is available in high-resolution formats for print applications as well as graphics specially sized for use online. Most artwork is available in both English and Spanish, including the following: 

• A theme poster, available in two sizes: 22" x 28" and 11" x 17".
• Theme artwork, including outreach materials, web ads, and social media ads.
• Awareness posters that can be placed in a variety of locations to encourage viewers to educate themselves about how to help crime survivors.

A limited number of 2025 NCVRW Poster Kits will be available to order. Each poster kit includes one copy of the 22" x 28" NCVRW Theme Poster and each of this year’s awareness posters. Contact the OVC Response Center at askovc@ncjrs.gov to request a copy. Please include your full name and mailing address when you email.

Whether you are a new or returning participant, to ensure that you receive email announcements and materials for the 2026 NCVRW, please submit or confirm your contact information on the NCVRW subscription list. Through the NCVRW subscription list, you will receive—

• print products, such as the 22" x 28" NCVRW theme poster and 8.5" x 11" awareness posters;
• email notification when the 2026 NCVRW Resource Guide is available to download from the OVC website; and
• details concerning upcoming NCVRW events.

The dates for the next year’s NCVRW commemoration have not been announced. Sign up, or update your preferences, for the NCVRW subscription list to receive notification when the dates are selected, along with other important NCVRW announcements.

Yes! To promote community awareness of crime victims’ rights, all materials that use the 2025 NCVRW theme design developed by the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) are in the public domain, and reprint permission is not required. You may use any resource guide text verbatim and may also translate it into any language.

The entire contents of the 2025 NCVRW Resource Guide, including theme artwork files, are available for download.

Publicize your event by adding it to the OVC Events page. This list is meant to help victims, victim service providers, allied professionals, and other interested individuals plan, promote, and locate events of interest to those serving, supporting, and working with victims in their community. Your submission(s) will be reviewed and, if approved, posted on the web for public view. There is no charge for posting events.

Yes! Each year, OVC makes funding available for local communities to organize, publicize, and host NCVRW events.

Community Awareness Project (CAP) grants are awarded through the National Association of VOCA Assistance Administrators and can provide financial assistance of up to a designated amount ($5,000 for 2025 projects). The 2025 NCVRW CAP awards have already been made.

Yes! Much of the resource guide theme artwork is designed with space for your organization’s contact information or logo, as are all the awareness posters. The PDFs include fillable form fields so you can easily incorporate your local information, giving victims a place to turn within their community.

The theme artwork professional press art files may also be used to develop custom pieces. Printing companies that use quality presses, inks, and paper will produce the highest quality products and can often be found through referrals or a quick Internet search. Many local quick-copy vendors and office supply stores can also meet your printing needs. These shops will usually be more cost-effective for small quantities.

Your local printer or office supply store staff may help you format your piece, insert your contact information, or create a custom outreach product.

If you would like help customizing this year’s theme artwork, we recommend that you contact a local printing company, which you can find through referrals or a quick Internet search. For the best results, choose a company that uses quality presses, inks, and paper. (See the previous question for recommendations.)

The NCVRW theme design is available for download. Theme artwork images (including logos, bookmarks, and letterhead) are also available in a variety of formats, such as JPG and PDF, that are easy to apply to your campaign materials. Should you want to create your own design using specific elements of the 2025 NCVRW theme design, the Adobe Creative Cloud professional press art files for those designs are included as well. 

The artwork and posters are designed to print at specific dimensions and scaling them up or altering the width-to-height ratio may distort them. If you are thinking about producing a larger piece, please contact your local printer or office supply store for assistance.
