Updated Building Partnerships and Collaborations with Workforce and Education Systems Guide Now Available

The health and social justice nonprofit Futures Without Violence recently updated their Building Partnerships and Collaborations with Workforce and Education Systems guide.

This guide provides a roadmap for forming effective partnerships between victim service agencies and workforce development or education programs. It is designed to tackle the complex barriers that survivors of human trafficking face in accessing quality employment and education opportunities, emphasizing the necessity of such collaborations for survivor safety, economic stability, and healing.

Futures Without Violence, through the Promoting Employment Opportunities for Survivors of Trafficking (PEOST) Training and Technical Assistance Project with funding from the Office for Victims of Crime, has revised this guide to reflect the latest strategies and insights in supporting survivors. The PEOST project focuses on educational and employment opportunities for survivors of gender-based violence, recognizing the pivotal role of employment in their recovery and independence.

The guide details the process for victim service agencies to initiate and nurture partnerships with educational and workforce entities. It includes actionable steps, case studies, and a wealth of resources to ensure the successful integration of survivors into the workforce and educational paths. The structured approach laid out in the guide aims to streamline the collaboration process, making it easier for agencies to provide comprehensive support to survivors.
