Crisis Intervention/Response

The DoD Safe Helpline is a confidential crisis support service for adult service members of the DoD community affected by sexual assault. Operated by the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN), the helpline provides live, one-on-one expert advice and information 24/7.

This virtual resource center, sponsored by the Office on Violence Against Women, was developed for employers to address the impacts of domestic, sexual harassment or violence, and stalking. in the workplace. This website provides information, resources, tools, and technical assistance to employers and labor organizations to facilitate and encourage safer and more effective responses to employees who are victims.

The National Organization for Victim Assistance offers crises response team training to help local communities provide education and emotional first aid to victims, survivors, and community members in the event of a mass-casualty or natural disaster.

The National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster coordinates planning efforts by volunteer organizations responding to disaster. It provides training, leadership development, published resources, case studies, and performance critiques to participating groups.

Childhelp® is dedicated to the treatment and prevention of child abuse. The website includes information on nationwide facilities, helpful links, Childhelp programs, the National Child Abuse Hotline (800–4–A–CHILD), and child abuse reports.
