National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims is on September 25, 2023, it was designated by Congress in 2007.
The Derambez Morgan Foundation wants to make that all victims & survivors lives taken by senseless gun violence are honored and never forgotten. This event is an opportunity to will pay tributes the murder victims and their surviving family members in our area and surrounding cities in South Carolina. Hear from leaders about the Foundation's work, programs, community efforts, and resources.
There will be a candlelight vigil during the event to honor the memories and lives of Derambez Morgan, families and friends, and others who have been taken by gun violence. Please feel free to wear a t-shirt and/or bring a photo or memorabilia of your loved one with you to the event. The event will feature the names of as many murder victims known and displayed at the event as possible.
Attend and show your support for each other. Candles will be provided to all attendees. This event is open to the public. Light snacks and souvenirs will be available to everyone in attendance.
