Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $600,000)

With funding through the OVC 2024 Integrated Services for Minor Victims of Human Trafficking, OUR FAMILY SERVICES, INC located in Tucson, Arizona proposes a project titled “Our Family Services Integrated Services for Minor Survivors of Human Trafficking”.  The primary purpose is to provide emergency shelter and individualized services to minor victims of human trafficking. The primary activities are to (1) Meet the individualized needs of minor victims of sex and labor trafficking through collaboration with local partners; (2) Establish community-based interventions through community outreach and education to develop a continuum of care that addresses the specific needs of each victim; (3) Establish community-based interventions through community outreach and education to develop a continuum of care that addresses the specific needs of each victim; and (4)  Data collection and participation in evaluation activities to determine if the program is meeting stated goals and objectives. The expected outcomes include minor-aged participants will receive emergency shelter (100%), learn about available resources and where to go for help (100%), gain insights into strengths and challenges (100%), avoid malnutrition (100%), and be connected to supportive services (90%). The geographic service area is Pima County, Arizona with a target audience of minors, ages 12 through 17, who have experienced sex and/or labor trafficking or exploitation. The subrecipient for this award, Arizona State University’ Office of Sex Trafficking Intervention and Research will evaluate the program, ensuring compliance with all program objectives and outcomes.
