Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $800,000)

Through this award, Ayuda will provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and linguistically appropriate services to low-income immigrant victims of human trafficking and their qualifying family members in Washington, DC and Virginia who are in need of immigration legal consultations, counsel, and long-term representation (including T visas, U visas, asylum, and other remedies). Additionally, Ayuda will provide the immigrant community with trainings and peer service providers to bring awareness of human trafficking in the region, build referral networks with other service providers, and reach potential immigrant trafficking survivors in need of assistance.
