Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2009, $183,976)
The purpose of this cooperative agreement is to identify and replicate promising practices related to the provision of a comprehensive array of services to family members of homicide victims in rural areas. The Medical University of South Carolina National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center will enhance, evaluate, and institutionalize existing promising service interventions in partnership with other community agencies in the counties of Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester, South Carolina. In subsequent phases of this project, the grantee will develop technical assistance resources and assist in replicating the model program in other rural areas. ca/ncf
