Public Awareness for Victims of Domestic Violence

The purpose of the OVC FY 09 Public Awareness and Outreach to Victims in Underserved Communities is to raise awareness of traditionally underserved populations about victims' rights as well as improve their knowledge about accessing local services available to crime victims. The Southern Indian Health Council, Inc. will target members of the Mission Indian Tribes of rural San Diego County, CA to promote community education and awareness while providing outreach services to the Native American community by making use of distinct cultural traditions and ways of communicating. ca/ncf
