Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2011, $135,000)

This fellowship position will support OVC to conduct an analysis of existing data regarding services available to underserved victims; identify trends and explore ways to capture information about services to these victims; and analyze the overall effectiveness of state Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) programs.

The overarching goal of the Fellowship Program is to enhance and extend OVC efforts to develop and replicate innovative programs that service crime victims. The OVC fellow will support OVC staff through the provision of direct operational assistance to crime victim organizations and agencies; and the design and development of innovative initiatives, training programs, technical assistance, and capacity-building efforts.
