Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2019, $925,000)

The goal of the FY 2019 Direct Services to Support Victims of Human Trafficking Program is to enhance the quality and quantity of services available to victims of human trafficking, as defined by the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) of 2000, as amended. Funding through this program supports direct services to victims of sex trafficking and labor trafficking, as well as for efforts to increase the capacity of communities to respond to human trafficking through the development of interagency partnerships, professional training, and public awareness activities over a three-year project period.

This award made to Tapestri is funded under Purpose Area 1, Focus Area 2 which is designed to provide comprehensive case management to all victims of human trafficking across the State of Georgia. To address the needs of all victims, Tapestri will partner with Salvation Army Haven Atlanta, YouthSpark, and Tifton Judicial Circuit Shelter, Inc., DBA TJCS and The Patticake House. Tapestri will provide comprehensive case management to foreign national victims while YouthSpark and Salvation Army Haven Atlanta will work with U.S. citizen victims (both adults and minors). Tapestri will use the services of Tifton Judicial Circuit Shelter only when victims of human trafficking are discovered in South Georgia. CA/NCF
